How to reach the unit of Brescia

Brescia is where in the initiative of STS began and where today the head office is located. The center is divided into two distinct departments called resharpening and coating. The first has 11 CNC sharpener machines and employs 15 skilled workers, experts in carrying out the regeneration and re-sharpening of tools, but also in the creation of special designed tools. The "Coatings" department instead has six plants for the PVD deposition. Here 17 people are involved in coordinating the activities that enable the continuous supply of machineries to ensure a rapid and efficient service.

The centre in Padua has been created in 2001 with the same assumptions of the centre in Brescia and in order to be more in touch with the Triveneto market, both geographically and to answer to specific local needs and habits. The productivity potential of the centre of Padua is made of 5 CNC machines for sharpening, refurbishing and construction of tools and of 3 plants for PVD deposition. Under the leadership of the Managing Director, Mr. Fabio Guerriero, 16 people are involved to satisfy the different needs of our customers.

The center of Bologna exists since the end of 2005 and is composed by a young and knit team experienced in the field of tools for gears. The specialization of the center of Bologna is the regeneration service for toothed tools. For this purpose, the center has been equipped with four sharpeners (including 2 CNC) specific for the refurbishing of hobs and slotting knives. The STS service centre in Casalecchio di Reno has a PVD coating department, in which high-performance coatings are produced. This PVD department is also involved and constantly committed in the study and creation of coatings for toothing tools in order to take advantage of their potential in the best way possible. Tools are refurbished with the utmost care in order to maintain their original characteristics. The young team of Bologna, which today counts 16 people including technicians and operators, refers to the center manager, Dr. Denis Romagnoli.

The new center of Turin is specialized in the production of PVD coatings for cutting tools, moulds and dies.The local unit of Turin is the only place where a new coating for cutting tools is produced: Cronal, a structural material with excellent toughness, capable of adhering to the substrate with very strong ties, making it a formidable anti-wear barrier .
