Preparing the material to be coated is a fundamental step to ensure the quality of the final result. We are constantly investing to have the best equipment.
The parts to be coated are carefully degreased and cleaned in sophisticated washing lines with the use of alkaline products and the aid of powerful ultrasound.
The degassing process is performed in special furnaces which bring the parts close to the PVD process temperature and in high vacuum conditions. This operation is essential to remove all impurities present in small holes and cracks which could otherwise be released during the coating deposition phase and compromise its adhesion.
Micro-sandblasting is performed with the aid of manual or automatic sandblasters that use micro-spheres of glass and corundum of various grain sizes. This operation is used to remove superficial oxidation, burrs or crests.
This is the delicate operation of removing the coating. It must be carefully managed in order to preserve the base material.
