Double Carbon

Our Double Carbon solution responds to the need to increase hardness while maintaining the corrosion resistance of stainless steels. The process involves a carbon-based cold surface hardening and the subsequent deposition of a DLC layer. In this way it is possible to simultaneously enhance the characteristics of hardness, resistance to corrosion and smoothness of the entire system.

Main characteristics

Low coefficient of friction, hardness gradient

Main benefits

Resistance to abrasion, smooth running, antisticking, resistance to corrosion/oxidation and chemical aggression, solution for tribocorrosion/Fretting/Galling phenomena
